Our Warranty

Dell Precision T3400/T3500

This computer is expected to last 5-8 years and longer. We have a fantastic all labor warranty on this model. Note that our warranties apply to the purchasing owner only and are not transferable.

Hardware Warranty 1:

The core of the machine (motherboard, CPU, RAM and power supply) comes with a ninety (90) day hardware warranty which includes labor for parts. After ninety (90) days this becomes a labor only warranty which extends for seven (7) years.

Hardware Warranty 2:

We match all manufacturers’ warranties -- Meaning that if the hardware vendor has a warranty on the part, we will not charge labor.

Disclaimer:
This applies to hardware failure, and is voided on user abuse or "Acts of Nature" (i.e. lightning, flood, tornados, etc).

Tips for increasing the life of your computer:

1)    Keep the electricity in the ideal range, +/- 2%. Run the computer on an Online-Interactive UPS or power conditioner. We recommend the Tripplite Omni-Smart brand, which overcomes those pesky brown-outs, surges. Bad power shortens the expected life dramatically.
2)    Change the hard drive before it fails; don’t wait until it stops working. Change it every three (3) years, or when a yearly hard drive scan indicates imminent failure.  We can help you with this for a small fee.
3)    Keep the computer cool. Between 55?-85?F. The lower the better. The higher temperatures reduce the lifespan dramatically while it is running. The computer handles wider ranges when unplugged.
4)    Keep good air flow in, through, and around the computer. Blow out the collected dust every three (3) to six (6) months. We can help you with this for a small fee. Allowing the computer to overheat may void the warranty. High temperatures shorten the expected life dramatically.
5)    If the computer is running slowly, this might be due to virus activity, operating system setting or hardware issue. Have it checked to ensure that it is not a hardware issue. There is no charge if the issue is found to be a hardware one.
6)    If a fan develops an odd sound, have it replaced immediately. If it makes to noise for too long, it may result in a damaged machine and voided warranty.
7)    If the computer freezes up or “Blue Screens”, perhaps to heat, have the hardware checked out immediately.
8)    If the computer is ON, it is moving towards its death quickly; in standby, slower. If it is OFF, but plugged in it is slowly edging towards it death. IF it is OFF and unplugged its movement towards death is almost imperceptible. Suggestions: Use Standby if gone for up to an hour, turn off otherwise and if going away for several days, unplug it.
9)    Other common sense things like: don’t submerge computer in water, don’t juggle it, keep it away from smoke, don’t use it on a stove or other hot surface, etc.
10)    If the system clock is not showing the correct time, perhaps a simple battery change is needed. Ask us how, or we can do it for you for a small fee.
